Clay Workshop
A batch of 13 Czechoslovakian students and our First Year students collaborated for a workshop on Clay Modelling by designing and sculpting Face masks. It was conducted by Architect and Sculptor Ar. Nilanjana Roy.
Workshop with Eminent Architect Dean D’Cruz
A three Day workshop on the theme “Regenerative Architecture-Shifting Paradigms in Design” was organized by our school in collaboration with Council of Architecture – Training & Research Center Bhubaneswar from 23rd to 25th August 2018, for all architecture colleges of Eastern India.
In this programme of Learning from the Masters, eminent architect Dean D’Cruz was invited to conduct the workshop on Exploring Sustainability and Regeneration through Design in Work Spaces to create awareness that architecture incorporates more than just the building. Regenerative architecture is the place, the site, the systems, the energy, the building, the fauna and flora, etc. It is an architecture that is purely embedded into the site. Through the presentations of his works and also the workshop he very subtly illustrated the importance of social inclusiveness in Design and oriented the students towards sensitivity in the use of local materials and technology, climate sensitive design, importance of site and user contextuality.
Training Programme with ECBC
A training programme for architects on “Energy Conservation and Building Code” organized in our school in collaboration with Council of Architecture – Training & research Center (CoA-TRC) and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
Model Making Workshop
A model making workshop conducted by Architect & Industrial Designer Mr. Sukant Maharana, an alumnus of CET Bhubaneswar and IDC IIT Bombay.
Parametric Design Workshop
A three day workshop on Parametric Modeling conducted by Ar. Pritam Lenka (Faculty Sushant School of Design and alumnus of Barcelona Institute of Architecture), Ar. Chandrabhanu Pattanayak (Senior Architect at Inform Architects Bangalore and alumnus of Hochschule Anhalt, Dessau, specializing in Computational Architecture) & Ar. Apurwa Agrawal (Faculty Manipal Jaipur and alumnus of CEPT Ahmedabad).
The workshop was to equip and enable our students with required software skills related to computational architecture, which is currently one of the most important and emerging trends in Architecture, worldwide.
Place-making Workshop in collaboration with Bhubaneswar Development Authority
“Bhubaneswar Projects for Public Spaces – A Quicker-Lighter-Cheaper Appraoch” -An Urban Design Workshop organised by our School in Collaboration with Bhubaneswar Urban Knowledge Centre (BUKC), the think-tank of Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA).
A series of preparatory sessions aimed at solving real world public-space design challenges prior to the upcoming Hockey World Cup which was being held in our City. Our school was involved in the design of 5 such important sites around the venue.
